This module describes the organisation of urban transport responsibilities within governments.
Its focus is on passenger transport in large cities. Some principles of organisation are recommended and case studies of successful and unsuccessful organization discussed in order to identify factors that contribute to efficient organisation.
There is a wide variety of current practice in the organization of urban transport, but a broad
categorization of cities may be made.
